Meat Rabbits

Wild Canadensis began their journey with New Zealand/Californian meat rabbits in 2024. Follow our blog, Growing Homesteaders, to watch our hobby farm expand and become more sustainable.

Hobby Farm Services

Missy was introduced to gardening as a young girl, and gained farming experience working on a seed corn farm and dairy farm during high school. She is an experienced veterinary technician, and owned her own pet sitting business from 2000 - 2016. Missy began raising chickens from egg to laying hen in 2008, in a forested area with wildlife and high predator presence (deer, bear, raccoons, possums, foxes, coyotes, and birds of prey). She specializes in predator protection to keep your small livestock secure.

"Missy and Travis have made us the proud hen farmers we are today!  They provided us with their knowledge and understanding of hen health and safety care. We were given all of the tools to aid us in successfully raising hens:  informational books, resources, safe living quarters, proper organic nutrition and equipment.
They extended their knowledge and experience to help us defer preying animals as well. Visiting our hens while we are away from our homestead is always appreciated, and our hens love seeing them. Thank you Missy and Travis!"
Best regards,
Denise and Eric Keiling (2024)
